- No. Beach Better Golf Carts does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third-party marketers, and does not use your information for targeted advertising.
- How long does Beach Better Golf Carts keep my information?
- Active customer records for the duration of the relationship. Rental and service records for at least 5 years (Florida dealer recordkeeping rule). Vehicle sales records for the life of the vehicle plus 5 years minimum, longer as needed for warranty and tax matters. Marketing list contacts until you unsubscribe. Website analytics for up to 26 months.
- Does Beach Better Golf Carts retain a copy of my driver's license?
- For rentals, no — we verify the license at delivery but do not retain a copy. For vehicle sales, yes — a copy of the buyer's driver license is retained as part of the executed dealer file, as required by Florida dealer recordkeeping rules.
- What third parties does Beach Better Golf Carts share my information with?
- Service providers that help us operate (Squarespace for the website, Booqable for rental bookings, Square and Stripe for payments, Twilio for text messages, Google Workspace for email, Adobe Sign for signed documents). For vehicle sales we also share with FLHSMV, Walton County Tax Collector, Florida Department of Revenue, IRS (for cash payments over $10,000), VCarts (the manufacturer, for warranty and recalls), the buyer's insurance carrier, and Beach Better Golf Carts' CPA and attorney.
- How do I exercise my privacy rights?
- Email Service@alwaysbeachbetter.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. Rights include knowing what information is held, accessing a copy, correcting inaccurate information, deleting information (subject to legal exceptions), opting out of marketing, and non-discrimination for exercising any right.

- No. Beach Better Golf Carts uses essential cookies for site functionality, analytics cookies for traffic measurement (Squarespace built-in analytics and Google Analytics), and functional cookies for preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and do not display targeted ads.

Beach Better Golf Carts ("we," "our," or "us") is a locally owned golf cart rental, repair, tire service, and sales business in Miramar Beach, Florida. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website (alwaysbeachbetter.com), our rental booking platform (rent.alwaysbeachbetter.com), our service appointment system, or interact with us in person — and how we use, share, and protect that information.
What We Collect
Information You Give Us Directly
- Contact information: Name, email, phone, and mailing or delivery address when you book a rental, schedule service, request a quote, or contact us.
- Rental and service details: Rental dates, delivery location, vehicle preferences, service requests, photos you send us about a repair issue, and notes about a particular cart.
- Payment information: Credit card and billing information needed to process rentals, service, and sales transactions. Card data is handled by PCI-compliant third-party payment processors (Square, Stripe, Booqable's payment system) and is not stored on Beach Better Golf Carts' own servers.
- Identification (rentals): Florida driver's license verification at the time of rental delivery, as required by Florida law for street-legal Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) operation. We confirm validity but do not retain copies of license documents.
- Identification (vehicle sales): Florida driver's license verification at the time of sale. A copy of the buyer's driver license is retained as part of the executed dealer file, as required by Florida dealer recordkeeping rules. For entity buyers, the authorized signer's identification and the entity's Florida Sunbiz documentation (registered legal name, document number, principal office address, manager or member identity) are also retained as part of the file.
- Communications: The content of texts, emails, and voicemails you send us, plus any notes our team makes when assisting you.
Information We Collect Automatically
- Website usage data: Pages visited, time on site, click paths, referring website, browser type, operating system, and device type.
- IP address and approximate location: Used for fraud prevention, analytics, and to determine general regional context.

How We Use It
- Service delivery: Process rentals, schedule service, deliver and pick up carts, complete sales transactions.
- Customer support: Respond to your questions, troubleshoot issues, provide post-sale or post-rental support.
- Communication: Send booking confirmations, service reminders, delivery updates, photo-documented service reports, digital invoices, and occasional updates about Beach Better Golf Carts. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
- Business operations: Maintain accurate records, prevent fraud, enforce our terms of service, comply with tax and legal obligations.
- Improvement: Analyze how our website is used and gather feedback to improve our services and online experience.

Each provider is contractually obligated to use your information only to provide services to Beach Better Golf Carts — not for their own marketing, and not for resale.
Vehicle Sales — Transaction Recipients
Vehicle sales involve additional information sharing required to complete the transaction. We share buyer information with these recipients only as needed to process the sale, register the vehicle, comply with tax law, and support the manufacturer's warranty:
- Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) — title and registration processing for plated Low Speed Vehicle sales
- Walton County Tax Collector — title, registration, and local tax processing
- Florida Department of Revenue — sales tax reporting and remittance
- Internal Revenue Service — IRS Form 8300 reporting for cash payments exceeding $10,000, as required by federal law
- VCarts — the vehicle manufacturer, for warranty registration, recall notifications, and product safety communications
- Your insurance carrier — verification of insurance coverage on plated LSV sales
- Our CPA and attorney — bound by professional duties of confidentiality, used only as needed for our compliance and legal obligations
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when required by law: subpoenas, court orders, or government requests; investigation of fraud or unauthorized use; protection of safety of customers, employees, or property; defense against legal claims.
Business Changes
If Beach Better Golf Carts is acquired, merged, or undergoes substantial reorganization, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any such change before your information is transferred.

Florida Digital Bill Of Rights
Florida residents have specific privacy rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (effective July 1, 2024) and the Florida Information Protection Act. These rights generally apply to large data controllers; Beach Better Golf Carts is a small business and is not always subject to every provision. Even so, we voluntarily extend the rights described in Your Rights to all Florida residents regardless of size threshold.
Florida residents can email Service@alwaysbeachbetter.com to exercise a right or file a complaint. The Florida Department of Legal Affairs (Office of the Attorney General) also accepts privacy complaints.
California & Other State Privacy Rights
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights under their respective state laws.
Beach Better Golf Carts extends the rights described in Your Rights to residents of these states without distinction.

How Long We Keep It
We keep different categories of information for specific periods:
- Active customer records: for the duration of the customer relationship
- Rental records: at least 5 years (Florida dealer recordkeeping requirement)
- Service records: at least 5 years
- Vehicle sales records (the executed dealer file): life of the vehicle plus 5 years minimum, longer as needed to support warranty matters, tax positions, and recall obligations
- Driver's license copies: kept with the executed dealer file for vehicle sales; not retained beyond the rental period for rentals
- Marketing email list: until you unsubscribe; suppressed within 10 days of unsubscribe
- Payment card data: not retained on Beach Better Golf Carts' systems; held only by the PCI-compliant payment processor per its rules
- Website analytics: up to 26 months (Google Analytics 4 default), aggregated and anonymized thereafter
- Email and text correspondence: retained while it is operationally useful, generally not less than 3 years
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Florida law requires the driver of a street-legal LSV to hold a valid Florida driver's license, so renters and operators must be at least 16 years old. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact Service@alwaysbeachbetter.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as our practices evolve or as required by law. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised. Material changes will be communicated through our website and, where appropriate, by email to active customers. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
