Yes. Complimentary delivery reaches most addresses across Miramar Beach, Destin, Santa Rosa Beach, and the 30A corridor. Confirm that your rental address qualifies on our Free Delivery page. Delivery is completed before your rental period begins, the vehicle is secured to a stand, and the lockbox code is released to approved drivers on your start date, so the vehicle is not accessible before your rental begins.

Prefer to collect it yourself? Pickup at 76 N Holiday Rd, Miramar Beach, FL 32550, next to the Cumberland gas station, is available around the clock. Your vehicle is staged and secured to a stand with a code-protected lockbox. The code is released only after every driver on the reservation has been approved and the rental agreement is executed.

Either way, your vehicle's operating instructions and safety guide arrive in writing the moment you book, and once more on the first day of your rental. Read them before you drive, and text (850) 830-4699 if anything is unclear when you arrive.

Reservations are online and open 24 hours a day at rent.alwaysbeachbetter.com. Pick your dates, choose a vehicle, and confirm. Plan on just a few minutes from start to finish.

By email at 7 AM on the day before your rental starts, and again by text once your assigned vehicle has been staged. The code is issued only after every driver on the reservation is approved on an executed agreement. Keep it to approved, listed drivers only.

Every driver must be 22 years of age or older for the entire rental period, hold a valid state-issued driver's license, carry active auto insurance naming that driver, and be listed and approved on the executed rental agreement before taking the wheel.

Two drivers are included with every rental. Each additional driver is $15 and must be added and approved online before taking the wheel. Only approved, listed drivers receive lockbox codes. Handing the keys to anyone who is not listed and approved is a prohibited use that voids all coverage and shifts responsibility to the renter. Optional secondary coverage is outlined under Renter's Collision Protection, at $39.50 per driver, per day, with a $500 deductible.

No. It is a Low Speed Vehicle, defined at Fla. Stat. 320.01 and built to the federal standard at 49 C.F.R. 571.500. A golf cart has no VIN, plate or title and cannot legally use public streets. Your rental has all three and can, on roads posted 35 mph or less under Fla. Stat. 316.2122.

It is. Signing your Beach Better agreement electronically carries the identical legal weight of a pen-and-paper signature.

• Fla. Stat. 668.004 provides that an electronic signature "may be used to sign a writing and shall have the same force and effect as a written signature."
• Under Florida's Uniform Electronic Transaction Act (Fla. Stat. 668.50), a record, signature, or contract may not be denied legal effect solely because it is electronic.
• The federal E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. 7001) extends that same recognition nationwide.

So the agreement itself, each driver approval, and every safety acknowledgment you initial are fully enforceable. The governing terms are those you sign electronically. Read them in full at signing.

Electric: charge it to full and leave it plugged in on return day. Coming back under 90 percent charge adds a $100 recharge fee.

Gas: top off the tank with 87 Unleaded, or add prepaid fuel for $18.50 before your return.

Drop the key back in the lockbox, then confirm the return by text to (850) 830-4699.

Cancellations made 10 or more days before your start date carry a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 10 days of your start date are not refundable. Early returns are not refunded. If Beach Better requires an early return for a hurricane, tropical storm or other safety event, unused days are refunded on a prorated basis. Full detail is in our Terms, Conditions and Policies.

Plug it in every night when you get back, using a standard dedicated outlet with nothing else drawing from the same circuit during the charge. Range falls off quickly once the pack drops below 50 percent, so recharge after each outing rather than waiting for a low reading.

On return day, charge to full and leave it plugged in. Coming back under 90 percent charge adds a $100 recharge fee. For your specific vehicle's setup, see the Electric Guide.

It depends on the pack and charger:

• Eco battery with a Lester charger: state-of-charge percentage shown above the steering wheel.
• Eco battery with an Eco charger: round gauge above the glove box.
• Trojan or US Battery: colored light indicator to the left of the steering wheel, where green means full.

Usually: on the passenger-side floor, front right.

If not there: under the driver's seat, near the battery.

Open the lockbox with your 4-digit code.

Start with: the middle-row floor on the passenger side.

If it is not there: under the middle seat, beside the yellow charging cord.

• Tow switch: it needs to be set to RUN, not TOW.
• Key: turn it twice to the right to start.
• Eco battery: press the green button if the indicator light is dark.

1. Switch the vehicle on.
2. Press the POW/MOD button on the speaker panel.
3. Open Bluetooth on your phone and select "BEYOND".

Set your music before you pull away. All phone use is prohibited while driving, handheld or hands-free, and so are headphones and earbuds.

Tap the silver remote on the dashboard, then cycle through colors with its buttons. Make these changes while parked, not while driving.

Nothing happening? First flip the black switch with the blue indicator light on the dash to power the light circuit, then try again.

Raise the middle seat; the lockbox sits on top of the fuel tank. Enter your 4-digit code and slide the black button downward to open.

Would rather skip the gas station? Prepaid fuel is available for $18.50; add it while booking or reach out before your rental starts. Bring it back with a full tank. Returning it empty adds a $30 refueling fee.

Set your music before you pull away, because all phone use, handheld or hands-free, is prohibited while driving.

No. Headlights on Beach Better LSVs are manual and do not switch on automatically. Turn them on by hand from sunset to sunrise and any time visibility is reduced by rain, fog or spray. Florida law requires lighted headlamps on a motor vehicle in those conditions.

• Position 1: low beam.
• Position 2: high beam.

Use the silver remote on the keychain: press power, then pick a color. Make these changes while parked, not while driving.

Not responding? Flip the blue-light switch on the dash to power the light circuit first.

Each vehicle is a fully street-legal Low Speed Vehicle as defined by Fla. Stat. 320.01 and 49 C.F.R. 571.500: a titled, registered, and insured motor vehicle carrying a Florida plate, a VIN, and all required safety equipment. Fla. Stat. 316.2122 permits driving on any public road posted at 35 mph or less, which covers:

• Scenic Gulf Drive: the main artery through Miramar Beach and Destin.
• Route 30A: running through Santa Rosa Beach, Seaside, WaterColor, Grayton Beach, Seagrove Beach, and Rosemary Beach.
• Most neighborhood and community streets across the area.

Off limits: sidewalks, the beach, bike paths, grass, and any road posted above 35 mph. The driver must also carry a valid license.

Yes. An LSV is a real motor vehicle and it carries real risk, including the risk of tipping or rolling in a turn. It rides higher and weighs less than a car, so it reacts differently to sharp turns, rough pavement, and hard stops.

• Slow well before you turn, and take corners gently.
• Keep every rider seated with the belt fastened.
• Never overload the vehicle, and never let anyone ride on a lap.

Most incidents on a low speed vehicle come from turning too fast rather than from straight-line speed.

Yours is. Fla. Stat. 627.7263 makes the renting driver's own coverage primary: "The valid and collectible liability insurance and personal injury protection insurance of any authorized rental or leasing driver is primary for the limits of liability and personal injury protection coverage required by ss. 324.021(7) and 627.736, Florida Statutes."

Many personal auto policies and credit card benefits exclude Low Speed Vehicles. Confirm with your own insurer, in advance, that your policy covers your operation of a rented Low Speed Vehicle, and keep proof of insurance with you in case you are ever stopped. Optional secondary coverage is available through Renter's Collision Protection at $39.50 per driver, per day, with a $500 deductible. It does not replace your primary policy.

No. You may cross Highway 98 only at a signalized intersection, in the marked travel lane, and only where the crossing road is posted 35 mph or less. You may never travel along Highway 98, Business 98, or their shoulders or pedestrian paths, in either direction. Driving along Highway 98 ends the rental immediately, the vehicle is recovered, and no refund is issued for unused time.

For east-west trips, take Scenic Gulf Drive through Miramar Beach and Destin, or Route 30A through Santa Rosa Beach. Both are prettier routes and far better suited to LSV speeds.

Yes. Every rider must be in a seat with the belt fastened, and our vehicles carry a belt for each seat. Fla. Stat. 316.614 requires seat belt use in a motor vehicle, and an LSV is a motor vehicle.

• Fla. Stat. 316.613 sets the child restraint rule: a child aged 3 or younger must ride in a crash-tested, federally approved separate child carrier or the vehicle manufacturer's integrated child seat, and a booster seat is not sufficient at that age. A child aged 4 or 5 must ride in a separate carrier, an integrated child seat, or a child booster seat. Beach Better does not supply or install child restraints.
• Lap riding and sharing a belt are prohibited for riders of any age, and no one may stand while the vehicle is moving.
• Violations can bring Florida traffic citations, issued to the driver.

Florida law prohibits operating a motor vehicle while holding a wireless communication device, and an LSV is a motor vehicle. Beach Better's policy goes further: any use of a mobile phone or other electronic device while the vehicle is in motion is prohibited, including hands-free use. Headphones and earbuds are prohibited. Texting while driving is prohibited. Bring the vehicle to a complete stop in a safe, lawful location before using a phone or device.

• Late return: $100 per hour.
• Lost key or glow remote: $50.
• Missing charging cord or extension cord: $50.
• Returned under 90% charge or not plugged in (electric): $100 recharge fee.
• Returned without a full tank (gas): $30.
• Prepaid fuel (gas, optional): $18.50.
• Stranded vehicle recovery or tow: $200 flat.
• Traffic citations: the full ticket amount plus a $35 administrative fee.

Crashes happen, on any road and in any vehicle. Florida law requires you to report any crash involving injury or significant property damage, so call 911 for any accident, including a single-vehicle one, and never leave the scene.

1. Call 911 right away.
2. Stay at the scene until law enforcement releases you.
3. Get the police report number.
4. Reach us at (850) 830-4699 once the scene is secure.
5. Open a claim with your own auto insurance carrier, which is primary, and pass the claim number to Beach Better.

Handle it exactly as you would a car accident, and do not admit fault at the scene. Review the Renter's Collision Protection terms before your rental begins.

It depends on the community. Plenty of 30A neighborhoods, including Seaside, WaterColor, Grayton Beach, Seagrove Beach, WaterSound, and Rosemary Beach, set their own LSV rules, and a few bar outside rental vehicles altogether.

Look up your specific property in our Neighborhood Rules directory before the trip, so there are no surprises at the gate.

Miramar Beach and Destin: Scenic Gulf Drive traces the shoreline and links to local favorites, an easy cruise at whatever pace you like.

Santa Rosa Beach and 30A: Route 30A threads through Grayton Beach, Seaside, WaterColor, Seagrove Beach, and Rosemary Beach, ideal for wandering between communities, pausing for lunch, and soaking in views that drivers usually blow right past.

Whichever route you take, the entire trip must stay on public roads posted 35 mph or less, and you may cross Highway 98 only at a signalized intersection.

If the vehicle needs to be recovered, we run stranded vehicle recovery across Destin, Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, and 30A for a $200 flat fee, scheduled as soon as we can safely reach you.

Beach Better runs an in-house service department. Our program calls for each Low Speed Vehicle to be checked and cleaned between bookings and for scheduled preventative maintenance to follow the manufacturer's published intervals, covering brakes, steering, batteries, tires, lights and safety equipment. Maintenance and cleaning records are kept for every unit in the fleet.

Maintenance does not replace the driver's own pre-trip walkaround. Before your first drive, walk around the vehicle, check the tires and lights, confirm every seat belt latches, and text (850) 830-4699 at once if anything looks wrong. Do not operate a vehicle you believe is unsafe.

Every Beach Better vehicle carries an Apple AirTag for security and recovery. We disclose it rather than hide it. If your iPhone notifies you that an AirTag is traveling with you during your rental, that is the vehicle you rented, and the alert is expected.

To confirm, match the vehicle ID on the windshield to the ID on your rental agreement. The device reports approximate location for fleet security and recovery. Please tell your passengers it is there.

The flags are posted and updated by beach safety officials, not by Beach Better, and conditions can change quickly.

• Green: low hazard. Calm conditions. Take normal precautions.
• Yellow: medium hazard. Moderate surf or currents. Use caution.
• Single red: high hazard. Strong surf or currents. Swimming is not advised.
• Double red: the water is closed to the public. Entering is unlawful.
• Purple: dangerous marine life has been sighted, such as jellyfish, stingrays or sharks.

Always check the flag at your access point before entering the water and follow the direction of on-duty lifeguards.

Keep calm, and do not try to swim straight back to shore against the pull.

• Swim parallel to the beach until you are out of the current.
• Then angle your way back toward shore.
• If you tire, float and wave for help.
