Open The Buyer's GuideASPT Carts (Assembled From Parts)
ASPT stands for "Assembled from Parts." This Florida title designation applies to vehicles constructed or reconstructed using components from various sources — different manufacturers, salvaged parts, or rebuilt assemblies. ASPT carts are typically used golf carts that have been refurbished or rebuilt to meet street-legal LSV standards.
Some of Beach Better's used inventory carries the ASPT designation. It is clearly disclosed on the title and in writing before purchase.
Yes. ASPT vehicles sold by Beach Better have passed all required Florida inspections and meet the legal standards for street-legal Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) roadworthiness. They carry a Florida title, license plate, and VIN — exactly like any other LSV. They are legal to drive on public roads with posted speed limits of 35 mph or less.
Beach Better only sells ASPT carts that have passed all required safety inspections. Every street-legal LSV — ASPT or not — must include working headlights, taillights, turn signals, mirrors, seat belts, a windshield, and a VIN before it leaves the lot.
That said, because ASPT vehicles are assembled from various sources, performance and longevity may vary. Inspect the cart carefully, ask all questions, and consider the disclosed history before completing purchase.
For ASPT vehicles, the year listed on the Florida title may not match the original manufacturing year of the cart components. This is normal for assembled-from-parts designations and reflects the year the rebuilt vehicle was titled — not necessarily the age of the chassis, motor, or other parts.
Beach Better discloses the title year and the actual component history before purchase so buyers can make an informed decision.
This is one of the key differences between buying a new VCarts (full manufacturer warranty) and an ASPT used cart (sold as-is). Beach Better does provide ongoing service and repair work for ASPT carts at standard service rates — but no warranty coverage applies to the original purchase.
Full disclosure terms are available at Terms, Conditions & Policies.
Coverage and premiums for ASPT vehicles may differ from standard vehicles. Some insurance carriers will cover ASPT-titled LSVs without issue; others may require additional underwriting, charge higher premiums, or decline coverage.
Before purchasing an ASPT cart, contact your insurance provider, share the title designation, and confirm coverage and rates. Beach Better can provide all the documentation needed for the insurance application.
The ASPT designation typically reduces resale value compared to a comparable new or factory-titled used cart. Future buyers will see the ASPT label on the title and may negotiate accordingly.
Factor this into your purchase decision — ASPT carts often offer significant upfront savings, but the discount is partly offset by lower resale value down the road. The buyer's guide at Sales Guide covers this in more detail.
ASPT carts can be a smart fit when:
- Budget is the priority. ASPT used carts cost meaningfully less than new VCarts while still being fully street-legal Florida LSVs.
- The cart is for short-term or seasonal use. Vacation property weekends, beach community errands, or seasonal use where heavy depreciation on a new cart isn't ideal anyway.
- You want street-legal access for less. ASPT carts get you onto Scenic Gulf Drive and 30A at a lower entry point.
- You want the conversion done right. Beach Better performs its own FLHSMV-compliant golf cart-to-LSV conversions in-house — not outsourced — so the work is documented, titled correctly, and inspected before sale.
New VCarts make more sense when full manufacturer warranty coverage, factory parts, and long-term resale value matter most.
No. Beach Better's used inventory includes both ASPT-titled and original-brand-titled carts:
- ASPT-titled used carts are carts that started as standard golf carts and were legally converted to street-legal Low Speed Vehicles by Beach Better using the FLHSMV's established conversion process. The ASPT title reflects that conversion.
- Original-brand-titled used carts arrived from the manufacturer already built as street-legal LSVs (Club Car, EZGO, ICON, Bintelli, VCarts, etc.). Their titles carry the original brand name and model year — no ASPT designation.
The title type is clearly listed for every used cart on Used Carts and disclosed in writing before purchase.
Used carts (including ASPT-titled carts) are sold in their current condition without warranty coverage. Buyers are encouraged to thoroughly inspect the cart and ask questions before completing the sale.

Street Legal & Registration
Yes. All VCarts models are street-legal Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs) meeting Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) requirements. LSVs are legal on Florida roads with posted speed limits of 35 mph or less. Every cart is equipped with headlights, taillights, turn signals, mirrors, seat belts, windshield, and all required safety equipment for street-legal operation.
Street-legal LSV registration in Florida requires:
- A valid Florida driver's license
- Liability insurance coverage
- Title application
- Payment of title, tag, and registration fees (current FLHSMV amounts)
Beach Better assists with the entire registration process and provides all required documentation. Specialty plates are available at additional cost based on FLHSMV pricing.
Yes. Florida law requires liability insurance coverage for street-legal LSV golf carts. Minimum coverage requirements are the same as standard automobiles. Contact your insurance provider for LSV coverage options and rates. Beach Better provides all the documentation needed for insurance applications.
Street-legal LSVs are legal on any Florida public road posted at 35 mph or less, including Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach and Destin, and Scenic Highway 30A in Santa Rosa Beach. Allowed in neighborhoods, beach communities, and designated low-speed areas.
Not permitted: highways, roads exceeding 35 mph (including Emerald Coast Parkway / Highway 98), sidewalks, beaches, or trails. Walton County and Okaloosa County may have additional local ordinances — verify before driving.
Yes. Specialty license plates are available for LSV golf carts through FLHSMV. Hundreds of designs are available — university plates, professional sports teams, environmental causes, and more. Additional fees apply based on the specialty plate selected. Beach Better assists with specialty plate applications at the time of registration.
Vacation Rental Owners & Property Managers
A golf cart amenity can:
- Increase nightly rates and booking conversion
- Generate stronger guest reviews
- Differentiate your property from competition
- Become a deciding factor in beach community bookings where carts are primary transportation
Guests actively search for properties with golf cart amenities — and many will pay a premium for that convenience.
The 6-Passenger Limo is the most popular choice for vacation rentals — it offers maximum capacity and the strongest ROI for short-term rental properties. E-Series ECO models are budget-friendly options for property managers building larger rental fleets. Both deliver durability, low maintenance, and the features guests expect.
See current pricing and configurations at New Carts.
Yes. Volume pricing is available for property management companies and owners with multiple vacation rental properties. Beach Better also coordinates delivery for multi-cart fleet orders. Reach out to Sales@alwaysbeachbetter.com with the number of carts and properties to receive a fleet quote. See Property Managers for fleet service details.
Property owners are responsible for cart condition and repairs. Beach Better provides service and repairs for guest-damaged carts. Smart practices include:
- Security deposits or damage waivers in your rental agreement
- Specific cart usage rules in guest welcome materials
- Photo-documented condition reports between stays
Many property managers add a separate damage deposit specifically for golf cart use.
Yes. Many vacation rental owners include the golf cart as a standard amenity to justify higher nightly rates and increase booking appeal. The alternative is charging a separate cart usage fee. Either approach can generate strong ROI — most property managers find the included-amenity approach drives more bookings and better guest satisfaction.
Beach Better provides full maintenance service for vacation rental carts including battery service, tire maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and repairs. Regular maintenance between guest stays keeps carts in excellent condition and protects your investment. Maintenance programs are available for property management companies with multiple carts — see Property Managers.
