How to Access the Lockbox on a Beach Better Gas Cart
The lockbox on Beach Better gas carts is mounted on top of the gas tank, directly beneath the middle row of seats. Your 4-digit code arrives by email the day before your rental begins, and again when your cart is confirmed ready. Lift the middle seat, line up your code on the keypad, slide the black button down, and retrieve your key.
Lift the middle row of seats using the armrest. The gas tank and lockbox are mounted directly underneath. The lockbox is the small combination box attached to the top of the gas tank.
Align the numbers on the lockbox keypad to match your code exactly, then slide the black button downward to open.

Remove the key, close the lockbox securely, and lower the seat back into place. Your key ring holds both the ignition key and the silver LED remote fob.
How to Connect Bluetooth to the Golf Cart Soundbar
Beach Better gas carts are equipped with the EcoXGear SE-18 Bluetooth soundbar. Start the cart, press and hold the soundbar power button until you hear "Speaker on, ready to connect," then search for EcoXGear SE-18 in your phone's Bluetooth settings. A solid blue LED confirms a successful connection.
Start the cart first, then press and hold the soundbar power button until you hear "Speaker on, ready to connect." To power off, press the button briefly.
Open Bluetooth settings on your phone and connect to EcoXGear SE-18.
Press volume buttons briefly to step up or down. Hold for continuous adjustment. Use the Mode button to cycle between Bluetooth, EcoCast, FM, and AUX. Hold the main button 3 seconds to activate Siri or Google Assistant (EcoTalk).
Press the sunshine icon button. Press multiple times to cycle between solid and pulse modes.
Press the button beside the light button to toggle the rear strip on and off.
How to Activate the LED Underglow Party Lights
The underbody LED glow lights are controlled by the silver remote fob attached to your key ring. Start the cart and press the fob's power button. Use the remote to cycle colors, modes, and animation speed. If the lights don't respond, flip the dashboard switch with the blue indicator light to reset the LED controller.
With the cart running, press the power button on the silver remote fob on your key ring. The underbody and wheel-well LEDs will illuminate.
Use the remote to change colors, toggle between solid and chase modes, and control animation speed. Night rides along Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach look great with the glow lights on.
How to Turn On the Headlights
Headlights on Beach Better gas carts do not turn on automatically. Before driving at dusk or after dark, find the headlight switch on the dashboard (lightbulb icon) and flip it on. Position 1 is low beams; Position 2 is high beams. Florida law requires LSVs to have headlights on in low-visibility conditions.
Insert your key and turn to the ON position.
Locate the headlight switch on the dashboard — it has a lightbulb icon. Flip it to activate lights. Two positions:
- Position 1 — Low beams (standard night driving on Scenic Gulf Drive and 30A)
- Position 2 — High beams (open roads with no oncoming traffic)
How to Refuel a Beach Better Gas Golf Cart
All Beach Better gas carts run on 87 Unleaded gasoline. Carts must be returned with a full tank. To skip the gas station, text us before your return to add prepaid fuel service for $18.50. Carts returned empty without prepaid fuel are charged a $30.00 refueling fee.
Fill the tank at any gas station in Destin or Miramar Beach using 87 Unleaded before returning the cart.

Beach Better rental golf carts are fully street-legal Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs) registered with the State of Florida. They are legal to drive on public roads posted at 35 mph or under. The most popular routes are Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach and Destin, and Route 30A through Santa Rosa Beach, Grayton Beach, Seaside, WaterColor, Seagrove, and Rosemary Beach.
