Available Gas Golf Cart Rental Bundles

Open The Lockbox On Your Gas Golf Cart
Your four-digit code arrives by email at 7 AM the day before your rental and again by text once the vehicle is staged. It is issued only after every driver on the reservation has been approved. Do not share the code. Only approved, listed drivers may operate the LSV.
Locate the lockbox
Lift the middle row of seats using the armrest. The gas tank is mounted directly underneath, and the lockbox is attached to the top of the tank.
Enter your four-digit code
Line up the numbers on the keypad to match your code exactly, then slide the black button downward to open.
Take the key and close the box
Remove the key, close the lockbox securely, and lower the seat back into place. The key ring holds both the ignition key and the silver LED remote fob.

Connect Your Phone To The EcoXGear SE-18 Soundbar
Beach Better gas LSVs use the EcoXGear SE-18 Bluetooth soundbar with built-in party lights. The soundbar's lights are separate from the underbody LED glow, and both can run at the same time.
Power on the soundbar
Start the vehicle first, then press and hold the soundbar power button until the audio prompt confirms it is on and ready to connect. To power off, press the button briefly.
Pair your phone
Open Bluetooth on your phone and connect to EcoXGear SE-18. Watch the LED on the soundbar:
Volume and input modes
Press the volume buttons briefly to step up or down, or hold for continuous adjustment. Use the Mode button to cycle between Bluetooth, EcoCast, FM, and AUX. Hold the main button for three seconds to trigger Siri or Google Assistant (EcoTalk).
Set your music before you pull away. All phone use is prohibited while driving, handheld or hands-free, and headphones and earbuds are prohibited as well.
Turn on the soundbar party lights
Front lights: press the sunshine icon button, and press it again to cycle between solid and pulse modes.
Rear LED strip: press the button beside the light button to toggle the rear strip on and off.
The EcoXGear SE-18 lights and the underbody LED glow are fully independent, and both can run at once. The soundbar controls its own lights, while the silver remote fob controls the underglow separately.
Switch On The Underbody LED Glow
The underbody and wheel-well LED glow is controlled by the silver remote fob on your key ring, separate from the soundbar lights.
Activate with the silver remote fob
With the vehicle running, press the power button on the silver remote fob attached to your key ring. The underbody and wheel-well LEDs light up.
Set colors, modes, and speed
Use the remote to change colors, toggle between solid and chase modes, and control the animation speed. Make these changes while parked, not while driving.
Find the dashboard switch with the blue indicator light and flip it. That resets the LED controller. Leave the other toggle switches alone, since moving them cuts power to the lights.
Turn On The Headlights (They Are Manual)
Headlights on Beach Better LSVs are manual and do not switch on automatically. Turn them on by hand from sunset to sunrise and any time visibility is reduced by rain, fog or spray. Florida law requires lighted headlamps on a motor vehicle in those conditions.

Locate the headlight switch on the dashboard. It carries a lightbulb icon. Flip it to turn the lights on. There are two positions:
- Position 1: low beam, for standard night driving on Scenic Gulf Drive and 30A.
- Position 2: high beam, for open roads with no oncoming traffic.
Refuel Your Gas Golf Cart
Every Beach Better gas LSV runs on 87 unleaded gasoline. Return it with a full tank, or add prepaid fuel before your return for $18.50 and skip the gas station entirely.
87 unleaded gasoline only. Do not use premium, diesel, or ethanol blends above E10.
- Fill the tank with 87 unleaded at any station in Destin or Miramar Beach before you bring the vehicle back.

If the vehicle comes back empty and prepaid fuel was not added, a $30 refueling fee is charged to the card on file. Avoid it by refueling before return, or by texting us to add prepaid fuel.
Where Your Gas Golf Cart Can And Cannot Go On The Emerald Coast
Your gas LSV wears a Florida license plate and a VIN and meets the Low Speed Vehicle standard at Fla. Stat. 320.01 and 49 C.F.R. 571.500. Under Fla. Stat. 316.2122 it may be operated only on streets posted 35 mph or less, the driver must keep a valid license on hand, and the vehicle is registered and insured as a motor vehicle. The same traffic laws that govern your car govern this too.
Travelling along Highway 98, riding without seat belts, carrying a child without the child restraint Fla. Stat. 316.613 requires, letting an unapproved driver take the wheel, or breaking any term of the rental agreement ends the rental on the spot. The vehicle is recovered and no refund is issued.

Highway 98
You may cross Highway 98 (Emerald Coast Parkway) only at a signalized intersection, in the marked travel lane, and only where the crossing road is posted 35 mph or less. You may never travel along Highway 98, Business 98, or their shoulders or pedestrian paths, in either direction. Driving along Highway 98 ends the rental immediately, the vehicle is recovered, and no refund is issued for unused time.
Approved, listed drivers only
Every driver must be 22 years of age or older for the entire rental period, hold a valid state-issued driver's license, carry active auto insurance naming that driver, and be listed and approved on the executed rental agreement before taking the wheel. Two drivers are included with every rental. Each additional driver is $15 and must be approved online first. Lockbox codes are released to approved, listed drivers only. Handing the wheel to anyone who is not a listed, approved driver is a prohibited use that voids all coverage and shifts responsibility to the renter.

Seat belts, every passenger, every trip
There is a belt for every seat. Fla. Stat. 316.614 requires seat belt use in a motor vehicle, and an LSV is a motor vehicle. Fla. Stat. 316.613 sets the child restraint rule: a child aged 3 or younger must ride in a crash-tested, federally approved separate child carrier or the vehicle manufacturer's integrated child seat, and a booster seat is not sufficient at that age. A child aged 4 or 5 must ride in a separate carrier, an integrated child seat, or a child booster seat. Beach Better does not supply or install child restraints. Lap riding, sharing a belt, and standing while the vehicle is moving are prohibited for riders of any age.
All phone use is prohibited while driving
Florida law prohibits operating a motor vehicle while holding a wireless communication device, and an LSV is a motor vehicle. Beach Better's policy goes further: any use of a mobile phone or other electronic device while the vehicle is in motion is prohibited, including hands-free use. Headphones and earbuds are prohibited. Texting while driving is prohibited. Bring the vehicle to a complete stop in a safe, lawful location before using a phone or device.
No alcohol, no pets, no roof items
No operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Florida DUI laws apply to an LSV. No pets. No chairs, coolers, or objects on the roof.
Some communities set their own limits on LSV access. Check the neighborhood rules page or text us before your trip and we will confirm for your area.
Insurance, Coverage And Your Signature
Each approved driver carries their own active auto insurance, and under Florida law that coverage comes first: "The valid and collectible liability insurance and personal injury protection insurance of any authorized rental or leasing driver is primary for the limits of liability and personal injury protection coverage required by ss. 324.021(7) and 627.736, Florida Statutes."
Many personal auto policies and credit card benefits exclude Low Speed Vehicles. Confirm with your own insurer, in advance, that your policy covers your operation of a rented Low Speed Vehicle, and keep proof of insurance with you.
Optional secondary coverage is available through Renter's Collision Protection at $39.50 per driver, per day, with a $500 deductible. Your own auto policy remains primary under Fla. Stat. 627.7263, and Renter's Collision Protection does not replace it.
Your electronic signature on the rental agreement carries the same legal weight as ink on paper under Fla. Stat. 668.004, Florida's Uniform Electronic Transaction Act (Fla. Stat. 668.50), and the federal E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. 7001). Signing and initialing confirms that you have read and agreed to the safety terms and operating instructions. Every Low Speed Vehicle in the fleet is on a documented in-house maintenance program built around the manufacturer's published service intervals. Records are kept per unit.
