Claims Procedures & Important Terms

Proof of Loss Requirements

• Claim forms must be submitted to Corporate Claims Service within 90 days after a covered loss occurs
• All claims must be submitted no later than one year after the date of loss
• If claim forms are not provided within 15 days of notice, submit other proof of loss by the due date
• Proof must include written documentation of occurrence, type and amount of loss, renter's name, and rental company

Important Policy Terms

• Concealment or Fraud: No coverage is provided if the renter intentionally conceals or misrepresents any material fact relating to the rental agreement or claim
• Legal Actions: No lawsuits for benefits may be filed less than 60 days after proof of loss is submitted, nor more than 3 years after claim forms are due
• Payment Requirement: Benefits are not effective unless all payments are made prior to signing the rental agreement
• Non-Transferable: Benefits cannot be transferred to anyone else
• Termination: Policy termination does not affect claims for losses that occurred while the agreement was in force
