Common Questions

Who needs to complete this form?

Any additional adult in your group who plans to drive the rental cart must complete the agreement before driving. The primary renter is already covered by the original rental agreement and does not need to complete this form for themselves.

How much does it cost?

The extra driver fee is $15 per additional driver. The fee is added to your rental invoice and collected as part of your final billing.

What do I need before signing?

You will need the booking confirmation number from your reservation, the extra driver's valid driver's license, and their auto insurance information that includes Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) coverage in Florida.

Can I add an extra driver after my rental has already started?

Yes. The form can be completed at any point during your rental period. The extra driver should not operate the cart until the agreement is signed and submitted.

What if my auto insurance does not specifically cover LSVs?

Most Florida personal auto policies extend coverage to Low Speed Vehicles operated on public roads, but coverage varies by carrier. Contact your insurance provider before signing to confirm. If your policy excludes LSVs, consider adding Renter's Collision Protection which provides supplemental coverage for the rental period.

Does Renter's Collision Protection cover the extra driver?

Yes. If the primary renter purchased Renter's Collision Protection, coverage automatically extends to all signed and authorized drivers under the same policy terms. The extra driver does not need to purchase separate coverage.

Do I have to add my spouse or partner as an extra driver?

Yes. Florida law requires every person operating the vehicle to be an authorized driver on the rental agreement. Spouses, partners, friends, and family members all need to complete the extra driver form before driving. There are no exceptions for relationship to the primary renter.

What happens if an unauthorized person drives the cart?

If a person not listed on the rental agreement operates the cart and is involved in an accident, traffic citation, or damage incident, the primary renter remains fully responsible — and any optional collision protection coverage may be voided. Always sign the extra driver agreement before letting anyone else drive.
