Miramar Beach is the closest delivery zone to the shop. The competition delivers from Destin, from Santa Rosa Beach, from wherever they happen to be that day. We deliver from right here. That difference shows up when your fleet is brand-new and something needs a five-minute fix instead of a four-hour drive.

Beach Better at 76 N Holiday Rd shares the corner with US Gold Gymnastics — we're in the same parking lot. We're on the same side of Highway 98 as Culver's of Destin (frozen custard counts as research) and Smith's Antiques Mall — the giant 25,000 sq ft antique store. If you've driven Holiday Road, you've passed us. Worst case, look for the Culver's sign and we're a stone's throw east.

Where You Can Actually Drive It

The Rules That Keep Vacations Out Of Trouble

Beach Better rentals are street-legal Low Speed Vehicles under Florida law. Scenic Gulf Drive is LSV-friendly its full length. Most residential streets in Miramar Beach are too — Florida law allows LSVs on any public road posted 35 mph or less.

Highway 98 / Emerald Coast Parkway is off-limits — the speed limit is too high. You may cross 98 at signaled intersections, but never drive on it. Sidewalks, bike paths, beach sand, and trails are also off-limits.

Seatbelts required for all front-seat passengers and anyone under 18. Florida law requires car seats or boosters for children 5 and under. Every passenger needs their own dedicated seat and belt — no lap riding, ever, for anyone, including infants. Walton County jurisdiction applies in Miramar Beach — Walton County Sheriff LSV regulations are the authoritative local source.

What People Actually Do With The Cart

Sunset cruise down Scenic Gulf Drive. Dinner at Pompano Joe's, Whale's Tail, or The Back Porch — no parking drama, no Uber fees. Morning run for groceries, back to the beach by 11. Sand-toy haul to the public access point two minutes from the house. Ice cream from Culver's after dinner without changing back into shoes.

Sunset & Dinner

Cruise Scenic Gulf Drive at golden hour. Pompano Joe's and Whale's Tail both have cart parking and beachfront tables. The Back Porch is the original landmark — short ride from most rentals.

Day-Trip Into Destin

Cart over to The Crab Trap Destin, Kenny D's, or Camille's at Crystal Beach. Note: Highway 98 is off-limits, so plan the route through residential streets when crossing into Destin proper.

Errands, Shopping & Treats

Most Miramar Beach rentals are within cart-distance of Silver Sands Outlets, Smith's Antiques Mall, grocery stops, and an end-of-day Culver's custard run. Park the car; let the cart do the daily runs.

Beach Access & Logistics

The cart parks at the public beach access points. You walk the boardwalk to the sand (no motor vehicles on Florida beaches, including LSVs). Most accesses have dedicated cart parking right next to the boardwalk entrance.

30+ Questions Real Miramar Beach Renters Have Asked Us

These aren't the soft "what's a golf cart" questions every rental site copy-pastes. These are the questions that show up in our texts at 7am, at midnight, the morning of check-in, and the day after the rental is over. A few are funny — we left those in because the cart isn't just transportation; it's the week's centerpiece.

Most Miramar Beach rentals are within 10 minutes of our shop at 76 N Holiday Rd. Same-day delivery is usually possible if you book before noon. Friday and Saturday slots in peak season fill quickly — book 2-3 days ahead in summer.
Yes — free delivery and free pickup throughout approved Miramar Beach neighborhoods. No mileage charges, no "convenience fee," no surprise add-ons. The price you see at checkout is the price.
76 N Holiday Rd, Miramar Beach, FL 32550. We share the parking lot with US Gold Gymnastics — if you've ever dropped a kid off there, you've parked at our shop. We're on the same side of Highway 98 as Culver's and Smith's Antiques Mall. Easiest landmark: the Culver's sign at Holiday Road and 98.
Drivers must be 22 or older with a valid driver's license. Florida's general LSV law allows 16+, but our commercial carrier insurance requires 22. The result: everyone listed on the rental agreement is fully insured throughout the rental. Other shops accept 18+; they're also the shops where claims get disputed. We'd rather front-load the rule. Two drivers are included; add a third for $15 via our e-sign add-a-driver form.
No — lap riding is illegal and unsafe for everyone, including infants. Florida law requires every passenger to have their own dedicated seat and seat belt. Children 5 and under must be in a proper car seat or booster.
Call 911 every time, regardless of injuries or whether anyone else is involved. LSV accidents are treated like car accidents in Florida — you need a formal police report. Stay at the scene, don't admit fault, then text (850) 830-4699 so we can support you.
Text us at (850) 830-4699. Because Miramar Beach is our home base, we get to most issues the same day, often within an hour. Our fleet is brand-new and well-maintained, so this is rare — but the response is fast when it happens.
Text us — we respond after hours. Most "won't start" issues are simple: the parking brake's still engaged, the key fob battery is weak, or (on electric) the cart hasn't been plugged in. We'll walk you through troubleshooting by text in two minutes. If it's a real mechanical issue, we dispatch a tech the next morning and the rental clock extends for any time lost. Never jump-start an LSV. Fire risk, permanent battery damage, voided insurance.
Standard 110V household outlet. Plug the cart in whenever it's not in use, including during the day — keeping the battery topped off is how you guarantee range when you need it. Use a 12-gauge minimum, outdoor-rated extension cord. Lithium batteries prefer to be kept topped off (no "memory effect" to worry about).
Real-world range in 90+ degree heat with accessories and 4-6 passengers: 25-35 miles for the 4-seat electric, 22-32 miles for the 6-seat electric. That's enough for a typical Miramar Beach day — three trips between the rental and the beach, dinner, and a sunset cruise — with charge to spare. For longer days, the gas 6-seat lifted removes range anxiety entirely.
88 approved Miramar Beach properties — search the directory above to confirm yours. We deliver to most vacation rentals south of Highway 98, plus all 17 Seascape Resort sub-areas. Sandestin (all 42 sub-neighborhoods), Tops'l, and Hidden Dunes don't allow external golf carts on property.
No — speed limit's too high (over 35 mph). You may cross 98 at signaled intersections only. Scenic Gulf Drive is the cart-legal corridor running parallel to 98 — that's where most of your beach-day driving happens. Walton County Sheriff publishes the full LSV regulations at waltonso.org/lsv.
No. Florida's DUI laws apply to LSVs exactly as they apply to cars. Same .08 BAC threshold, same penalties, same Walton County enforcement. The sunset cruise is the cart's best use; the designated driver makes it work.
Yes and yes. Every seat in every Beach Better cart has a 3-point seat belt that anchors properly to a forward-facing convertible car seat or a high-back booster. The bench seats in the second and third rows are wide enough for two car seats side-by-side. Florida law requires car seats for children 5 and under in any motor vehicle, including LSVs.
The 6-seat carts have a rear-facing back row that folds flat into a cargo deck — that fits a beach umbrella, cooler, and a stack of chairs easily. Boogie boards strap to the cart's rear cargo rail with bungees (bring your own). For families that beach-load heavy, we recommend the Removable Storage Box add-on at $6.50/day — it bolts in, holds a full cooler plus sand toys, and folds out of the way when you want all 6 seats back.
No — Florida law prohibits any motor vehicle on Walton County beaches, including LSVs. You park the cart at the beach access point (most have dedicated cart parking) and walk the last 30 yards across the boardwalk. The reason is environmental: sea turtle nesting, dune protection, and emergency vehicle access.
A valid driver's license, your rental agreement (we email a copy you can save to your phone), and proof of insurance (also in the email). Our carts have Florida plates, current registration, all required equipment (mirrors, turn signals, seatbelts, AS4 windshield, lights), and a VIN. Most stops in Miramar Beach are courtesy stops — speeding through a residential neighborhood, someone not buckled in. Drive like you'd drive a car. The Walton County Sheriff LSV page has the official local rules.
Small scratches and scuffs are normal wear and aren't charged. Real damage (dented panel, cracked windshield, torn upholstery, broken light) is assessed by our service team and charged to the card on file. Two ways to protect yourself: add Damage Forgiveness at $8/day (covers the first $250 of accidental damage), or add Renter's Collision Protection at $29.50/day per driver. We send a damage photo and itemized cost before charging — no surprise deductions.
Our largest single cart is the 6-seat. For groups of 7-12, we deliver two carts to the same address — usually one 6-seat for the adults plus a 4-seat for the older kids and gear. Two-cart families also love the flexibility of splitting up. Text us with the headcount and dates and we'll quote the two-cart bundle.
Single-day rentals are available subject to fleet availability — typically Sunday-Thursday outside of peak summer. Half-day isn't a published bundle, but the weekend bundle usually beats two single-day rates. Pick your dates in the booking flow and the system shows you the cheapest matching bundle. Monthly bundles unlock the lowest per-day rate for snowbirds and long-stay renters.
Sometimes. "No golf carts" usually means one of three things: (1) the HOA actually bans rental carts — no workaround, (2) the property manager is repeating something they heard once and the HOA actually permits carts — we can call and clarify on your behalf, or (3) the property allows carts but not in the driveway/garage overnight — we can stage delivery to a nearby public location. Forward the email to Rentals@alwaysbeachbetter.com and we'll sort the real answer in 24 hours. Property managers reading this: we run a dedicated fleet program.
First of all — dad bods are undefeated and we will not be slandering them on this website. Second, you want the 4-seat electric or 6-seat electric (non-lifted). Non-lifted carts have a lower step-in height (~14-16 inches vs. 22+ inches on the gas lifted) so you slide in instead of climbing in. The lower center of gravity also means a smoother ride at full speed, which your back will thank you for. Save the lifted gas 6-seat for when summer-bod season comes back around. The dad bod gets the dignified entrance.
Congratulations — and yes, we get this a lot. The answer is 4-seat electric. Three reasons. One: non-lifted means an easier step-in, which matters way more in the third trimester. Two: electric is whisper-quiet, so no engine vibration through the seat. Three: the Miramar Beach side of the coast has the smoothest residential streets in our service area. The cart has full 3-point seat belts at every seat, which OBs prefer for any motor vehicle. Keep rides short and frequent rather than one big day-long expedition — bathrooms exist for a reason.
6-seat electric, non-lifted. Low step-in, smooth quiet ride, dignified entrance. Three things people don't think about with senior passengers: (1) the windshield blocks wind chill that 25 mph cart speed creates even on warm days, (2) LED underglow is great for sunset visibility, and (3) some seniors don't love rear-facing seats (motion sickness), so put grandkids in the back row. Final tip: do not let Grandpa drive "just for the photo." Our 22+ rule applies even to "I drove tanks in the Army." Insurance is insurance.
Sounds like a healthy marriage. The diplomatic answer is the 6-seat electric. Six seats means nobody fights over who sits where (everyone gets a seat plus the cooler gets one). Electric means no smell of gas. The Bluetooth speaker lets each person take a music turn instead of arguing. Pro move: put the kids or guests in the back, you two up front. Hard to argue when one is driving and the other is in charge of snacks and music. Marriage saved, vacation salvaged.
Non-lifted electric, every time. Three reasons your spine will appreciate. One: step-in is 14-16 inches off the ground vs. 22+ on lifted gas. Two: electric means no engine vibration through the seat. Three: add the Removable Storage Box for $6.50/day so you're not lifting a heavy cooler in and out of the back row — the box loads level from a standing position. Save the cooler-lifting heroics for the highlight reel.
We are absolutely here for this energy. Every Beach Better cart has a full hard-top roof — not a soft canvas thing, an actual structural roof that blocks both the sun and second-story balcony views. The roof creates a shaded "pocket" you can park inside without baking. The LED underglow lights are on the underside, so they don't make you more visible from above — they make the road around you look cool from your own seat. The cart is essentially a mobile gazebo with Bluetooth. Wear the swimsuit. The cart's got you covered. Literally.
Two answers. For the classic 6-person bachelorette weekend, book the 6-seat gas lifted — sportiest cart in the fleet, most "we have arrived" presence at dinner, and the LED color remote someone will absolutely take ownership of. For 7-12 people, book two carts to the same address. Designated driver rule applies (Florida DUI law treats LSVs like cars). The bride should not be the designated driver. Now go forth and make the regrets.
Adults-only trip energy, our favorite. Book the 4-seat electric. Nimble for two couples zipping around Scenic Gulf Drive restaurants, no cargo space needed since nobody's hauling beach toys, and electric is whisper-quiet so your conversations stay your conversations. Add the Storage Box if the cooler of regret is full-sized. You found it.
Unambiguously the 6-seat electric, non-lifted. Quiet motor, low step-in, smooth ride, fits a small army, cargo deck for hauling stuff, Bluetooth for the soundtrack of your life right now, and absolutely no pretense about being sporty. It's the cart that knows what it is. The 6-seat electric is the cart for the family that has accepted reality and is here for it. Surrender. Book the minivan cart. Live your truth.
We are not legally affiliated with Culver's and we make no promises on their behalf. That said: yes, technically the cart fits a standard fast-food drive-thru, and yes, Culver's at the corner of Holiday Road and Highway 98 has accommodated cart-driving customers in the past. Pro tip: park instead and walk in — it's faster, and you don't have to fight the cart through a tight turn after a long beach day. Custard tastes the same either way. (Yes, this question has been asked sincerely, multiple times.)
Yes. We run a dedicated property manager program with priority dispatch, fleet pricing, a single coordinator, and same-day service across your full portfolio. Fleet program details →

Three reasons. One: our shop is in Miramar Beach — 10 minutes from your rental. Turo hosts and out-of-area chains can't fix a problem same-day. We can. Two: our fleet is brand-new, fully street-legal LSVs with Florida plates, real insurance, AS4-rated windshields, and federal-spec seatbelts. Peer-to-peer rentals often skip these — and your auto insurance won't cover you on a non-compliant cart. Three: we've been a family-owned shop on the Emerald Coast since 2013. We've answered the same questions you're asking 30,000 times. The Craigslist guy will tell you whatever closes the rental. We'll tell you whether the cart's actually right for your trip. That's the difference. Se habla español.
