There's a version of the beach trip that isn't a rush — where the cart isn't a way to beat the crowd, it's just the most pleasant way to get from the porch to the sand and back. Santa Rosa Beach is built for that version. Wide residential streets, a slower posted-speed corridor, and the kind of neighborhoods where a golf cart feels less like a rental and more like the way things are done.
We're a family-owned shop that's been on the Emerald Coast since 2013. We deliver the cart fully charged or fueled, walk you through it, and pick it up when you're done. No counter to stand at. No hours to work around. Just the cart, ready when you arrive.

A Few Communities We Can't Deliver To
Some of the master-planned villages along 30A run their own internal cart programs or restrict outside rentals by HOA rule. We respect those policies and won't deliver where carts aren't welcome:

Driving A Cart Around Santa Rosa Beach
Beach Better rentals are street-legal Low Speed Vehicles. Florida law allows LSVs on any public road posted 35 mph or less — which covers most of the residential streets and the slower stretches of County Road 30A through this area. Stay in the traffic lanes, never on the Timpoochee Trail or sidewalks (those are for walkers and cyclists).
US Highway 98 is off-limits — the speed limit's too high. You can cross at signaled intersections, but never drive on it. Beach sand is off-limits too; no motor vehicles are allowed on Walton County beaches, so park at the access point and walk the boardwalk.
Seatbelts required. Florida law requires car seats or boosters for children 5 and under. Every passenger needs their own dedicated seat and belt — no lap riding, ever, for anyone, including infants. Santa Rosa Beach is in Walton County — the Walton County Sheriff LSV regulations are the authoritative local source, including the free safety sticker requirement, which our carts already carry.
How The Cart Fits The Day
The Beach Run
Load the chairs, the cooler, and the umbrella once. The cart carries it all to the nearest access point and waits in the cart parking while you're on the sand. No second trip back to the house for the thing you forgot.
Dinner & The Market
Blue Mountain and Grayton have some of the best low-key dining on the coast, plus the 30A farmers markets. All within a calm cart ride of most Santa Rosa Beach rentals — no parking hunt, no valet line.
The Evening Cruise
This is the one people remember. LED underglow on, Bluetooth playing something easy, the whole crew aboard, the corridor going gold at sunset. The quiet side of the coast does evenings particularly well.
The Whole Stay
The car turns into the airport vehicle and not much else. Beach, dinner, market, the neighbors two streets over — all of it happens on the cart. By day three you stop reaching for the car keys entirely.
Santa Rosa Beach Rental Questions
25 cart-friendly communities across Santa Rosa Beach and the western 30A corridor — search the directory above to confirm yours. We deliver to Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, Dune Allen, Seagrove, Seacrest, Cypress Dunes, and the surrounding neighborhoods. We can't deliver to Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seaside, WaterColor, WaterSound, or Prominence 30A — those communities restrict external rental carts.
Yes — free delivery and free pickup to approved Santa Rosa Beach communities. Santa Rosa Beach is delivery-only (there's no store pickup option out here), and delivery is included in the bundle price. No mileage charges, no convenience fees. The price you see at checkout is the price.
Not for Santa Rosa Beach — this area is delivery-only. Store pickup is available only for Destin and Miramar Beach rentals at our shop on Holiday Road. For Santa Rosa Beach, we bring the cart to you fully charged or fueled, which most renters prefer anyway — it's one less errand on arrival day.
Yes — in the traffic lanes of any road posted 35 mph or less, which covers most of the residential streets and slower stretches of County Road 30A in this area. You can't drive on the Timpoochee Trail (the multi-use path) or sidewalks — those are for pedestrians and cyclists. US-98 is off-limits; cross it only at signaled intersections. The Walton County Sheriff's LSV page has the approved-route map.
Drivers must be 22 or older with a valid driver's license. Florida's general LSV law allows 16+, but our commercial carrier insurance requires 22 — which means everyone listed on the agreement is fully insured throughout the rental. Two drivers are included; add a third for $15 via our e-sign add-a-driver form.
No — our carts already carry it. Walton County requires LSVs to display a free safety information sticker from the Sheriff's office, and our fleet comes fully compliant with proper Florida registration, plates, and all required equipment. You just drive. Details at the Walton County Sheriff LSV page.
No — lap riding is illegal and unsafe for everyone, including infants. Florida law requires every passenger to have their own dedicated seat and seat belt. Children 5 and under must be in a proper car seat or booster.
Call 911 every time, regardless of injuries or whether anyone else is involved. LSV accidents are treated like car accidents in Florida — you need a formal police report. Stay at the scene, don't admit fault, then text (850) 830-4699 so we can support you.
Any standard 110V outdoor outlet — most Santa Rosa Beach rentals have one by the driveway, garage, or carport. We provide a 12-gauge outdoor-rated extension cord with every electric cart. Plug in whenever the cart isn't moving; lithium batteries like to be topped off and have no "memory effect." Never jump-start an LSV — fire risk, permanent battery damage, voided insurance.
Real-world range in summer heat with 4-6 passengers: 25-35 miles for the 4-seat electric, 22-32 miles for the 6-seat electric. Plenty for staying within Santa Rosa Beach and visiting the nearest few towns. If you're planning to range far along the corridor day after day, the gas 6-seat removes any range concern entirely.
No — Florida law prohibits any motor vehicle on Walton County beaches, including LSVs. You park the cart at the beach access point (most have cart parking) and walk the boardwalk to the sand. The reason is environmental: sea turtle nesting, dune protection, and emergency access.
No. Florida's DUI laws apply to LSVs exactly as they apply to cars — same .08 BAC threshold, same penalties, same Walton County enforcement. The sunset cruise is the cart's best use; the designated driver makes it work.
Yes and yes. Every seat has a 3-point seat belt that anchors properly to a forward-facing convertible car seat or a high-back booster. The second and third rows are wide enough for two car seats side-by-side. Florida law requires car seats for children 5 and under in any motor vehicle, including LSVs.
The 6-seat carts have a rear-facing back row that folds flat into a cargo deck — fits an umbrella, cooler, and a stack of chairs easily. Boogie boards strap to the rear cargo rail with bungees. For families that beach-load heavy, add the Removable Storage Box at $6.50/day — it holds a full cooler plus sand toys and folds away when you want all 6 seats back.
Our largest single cart is the 6-seat. For groups of 7-12, we deliver two carts to the same address — usually one 6-seat plus a 4-seat for the gear and overflow. Two-cart families also love the flexibility of splitting up. Text us the headcount and dates and we'll quote the two-cart bundle.
Not always. Sometimes the community genuinely restricts outside rentals (the six listed above), in which case there's no workaround. But sometimes a manager is repeating a blanket statement that doesn't match the actual HOA rule. Forward the email to Rentals@alwaysbeachbetter.com and we'll find the real answer within 24 hours. Property managers: we run a dedicated fleet program.
Dad bods are undefeated and we will not be slandering them here. Go with the 4-seat electric or 6-seat electric (non-lifted). Non-lifted carts have a lower step-in (~14-16 inches vs. 22+ on the gas lifted), so you slide in instead of climbing in, and the lower center of gravity makes for a smoother ride. The dignified entrance is yours. Save the lifted gas 6-seat for next summer.
Congratulations — the answer is 4-seat electric. Non-lifted means an easier step-in (matters more in the third trimester), electric is whisper-quiet with no engine vibration through the seat, and Santa Rosa Beach's calm residential streets make for an especially gentle ride. Full 3-point seat belts at every seat, which OBs prefer for any motor vehicle. Keep rides short and frequent rather than one long expedition — bathrooms exist for a reason.
6-seat electric, non-lifted. Low step-in, smooth quiet ride, dignified entrance. The windshield blocks the wind chill that even a 25 mph cart creates, LED underglow helps with sunset visibility, and forward-facing seats are easier on motion-sensitive passengers (put the grandkids in the rear-facing back row). And no — Grandpa can't drive "just for the photo." The 22+ rule applies even to "I drove tanks in the Army." Insurance is insurance.
Adults-only quiet-side energy, our favorite. Book the 4-seat electric — nimble for two couples cruising the corridor, whisper-quiet so your conversations stay yours, easy to park at the Grayton and Blue Mountain spots. Add the Storage Box if the cooler's full-sized. Designated driver rule applies (Florida DUI law treats LSVs like cars). Enjoy the quiet side.
Yes. We run a dedicated property manager program with priority dispatch, fleet pricing, a single coordinator, and same-day service across your portfolio. For managers handling multiple Santa Rosa Beach and 30A properties with different community cart rules, one partner who knows the area cold saves a lot of headaches. Fleet program details →

Two things matter most out here. One: we know the area's community-by-community cart rules — an out-of-area operator will happily deliver to a community that turns you away at the gate, and there goes your first vacation day. Two: our fleet is brand-new, fully street-legal LSVs with Florida plates, real insurance, AS4 windshields, and federal-spec seatbelts. Peer-to-peer rentals often skip these, and your auto insurance won't cover you on a non-compliant cart. Family-owned on the Emerald Coast since 2013. Se habla español.
