Used Street-Legal Golf Carts For Sale In Destin, Miramar Beach & 30A
There's a moment every Emerald Coast local remembers — the first time you cruise Scenic Gulf Drive at sunset with the salt air on your skin, your favorite song on the speakers, and nowhere in particular to be. That's the golf cart life. Whether you're a property owner looking to elevate your vacation rental, a manager building a fleet, or a local who's ready to stop borrowing the neighbor's cart, a used street-legal LSV from Beach Better is the smartest entry point.
Why Golf Carts Are The Emerald Coast Way Of Life
If you've spent any time in Destin, Miramar Beach, or along 30A, you've seen it — families loading up the cart for a beach run, couples heading to dinner at Pompano Joe's without fighting for parking, kids waving from the back seat on an evening ride through Seascape or Crystal Beach. Golf carts aren't a trend here. They're how people live.
The Emerald Coast was practically designed for it. Scenic Gulf Drive connects Miramar Beach and Destin with breathtaking coastal views on a road that never tops 35 mph. Route 30A winds through Santa Rosa Beach's most charming communities — Grayton Beach, Seaside, WaterColor, Seagrove, Rosemary Beach — at a pace that makes a cart the perfect way to take it all in. Neighborhood roads throughout the area are flat, friendly, and full of people who wave as you pass.
A used golf cart is the smartest entry point into this lifestyle — significantly less expensive than buying new, with the same access to every road and every neighborhood that allows carts.
Every Used Cart We Sell Is A Street-Legal LSV
People call them "golf carts," but nobody's playing golf. Every cart in our used inventory is a Low Speed Vehicle — a federally defined class that travels 20–25 mph and is legal on any Florida road posted at 35 mph or less. That means 30A, Scenic Gulf Drive, Scenic 98, neighborhood streets from Holiday Isle in Destin all the way east to Inlet Beach.
When you buy from Beach Better, a family-owned dealer in Miramar Beach since 2013, the cart is road-ready from the moment you take possession. The plate, the VIN, the lights, the signals, the mirrors, the seat belts — all there and titled in your name. You bring the insurance, and you're driving.
Used Cart Sales Terms — Important To Know Before You Buy
All Used & ASPT Carts Are Sold AS-IS
No returns. Final sale. No factory or dealer warranty.
Used golf carts (including ASPT-titled carts) are sold in their current condition without warranty coverage. We strongly encourage every buyer to thoroughly inspect the cart, ask every question that matters, and review the title type before completing the sale.
Full disclosure terms are available on the Terms, Conditions & Policies page. The trade-off for buying used is meaningful savings versus the new VCarts price — and an extended warranty option is available below to protect that investment.
EWG Extended Warranty — Available On Every Used Cart
Beach Better is an authorized dealer for Electric Warranty Group (EWG) — an industry-leading third-party warranty provider that has covered tens of thousands of golf carts and LSVs since 2016. EWG plans are available on every used cart we sell.
- Term lengths: 6 months to 48 months — choose what fits your budget and risk tolerance
- No deductible on electric vehicles ($50 deductible on gas)
- Fully transferable — coverage stays with the cart if you sell it (a real resale advantage)
- Nationwide service network — covered repairs honored at EWG-authorized dealers across the country
- Direct payment to authorized service centers — no out-of-pocket and no claim paperwork for the customer
Plans, pricing, and term options vary by cart. Ask about EWG coverage when you inquire about a specific used cart — we'll quote it alongside the cart price.
What Is An ASPT Cart? (And Why Some Of Ours Are)
The Beach Better used inventory falls into two title categories, and both are 100% street-legal:
ASPT-Titled Used Carts
These started life as standard golf carts (originally built for golf course use, top speed under 20 mph). Beach Better converted them to street-legal LSVs through the Florida HSMV's established conversion process — adding the required headlights, taillights, turn signals, mirrors, seat belts, windshield, and VIN, then submitting the documentation that gets a Florida title with the ASPT designation. The cart is fully street-legal, but the title reflects the conversion. The year on the title may not match the original chassis year.
Original-Brand-Titled Used Carts
These arrived from the manufacturer already built and certified as street-legal LSVs. Brands include Club Car, EZGO, ICON, Bintelli, VCarts, and others. The Florida title carries the original brand name and model year — no ASPT designation, no conversion in the cart's history.
Both types pass the same Florida inspection requirements. Both are legal to drive on every road posted at 35 mph or less. The practical difference shows up at resale — original-brand-titled carts typically retain a bit more value, while ASPT-titled carts often offer a meaningful upfront discount.
For Vacation Rental Owners: The Amenity Guests Remember Most
Talk to any property manager in the Destin–30A corridor and they'll tell you the same thing: the listings with golf carts book first. It's become as expected as a pool or a beach chair set. Families planning a week in Seascape, a long weekend in Dune Allen, or a girls' trip to Grayton Beach are specifically filtering for properties that offer a cart.
A used cart gives your property that booking advantage at significant savings versus new — savings that flow directly to ROI. With the optional EWG extended warranty, repair downtime mid-rental-season becomes a non-issue. The warranty also transfers if you sell the property, adding to its appeal for the next owner.
Fleet Pricing & Dedicated Coordination
Beach Better works with property management companies and vacation rental investors across the Emerald Coast. Volume pricing on multiple-cart purchases. Priority scheduling for service and repairs. 4-Seat Or 6-Seat For A Vacation Rental?
| Consideration | 4-Seat Cart | 6-Seat Cart |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Couples' rentals, smaller homes | Family rentals, larger properties |
| Guest appeal | Good | Strong — families seek these out |
| Booking impact | Moderate differentiator | Significant differentiator |
| Parking footprint | Standard garage fits easily | Needs wider parking space |
| Typical used price | Lower | Higher |
For most vacation rental properties, a 6-seat cart is the stronger investment. Families traveling with children will choose a property with a 6-seater over one without. It becomes the reason they book — and the thing they mention in the review.
For Locals: The Second Vehicle You'll Use More Than Your First
If you live in Miramar Beach, you probably already know the feeling of watching someone cruise past your house in a cart while you're loading your car for a two-minute drive. If you're in Crystal Beach or Holiday Isle in Destin, you've seen the families who never touch their SUV all weekend. If you're along 30A — Grayton, Seagrove, Blue Mountain, Dune Allen — the cart might as well be the official vehicle of your neighborhood.
A used cart makes it easy to join in. We're a family right down the road at 76 N Holiday Rd in Miramar Beach — the same community we've been part of since 2013. When you email us, a real person answers, usually within minutes. When we say we'll take care of something, we do.
No minimum purchase. One cart, one honest conversation. The optional EWG extended warranty makes used-cart ownership feel as low-stakes as buying new — without the new-cart price.
The Best Golf Cart Routes On The Emerald Coast
Owning a cart here isn't just about convenience — it's about the experience. Here are the routes that make it worth it:
Scenic Gulf Drive (Miramar Beach & Destin) — This is the ride that sells people on cart life. The road hugs the coast through Miramar Beach and into Destin with views of the emerald water that never get old. Stop at a beach access, grab lunch at Pompano Joe's or The Crab Trap, and cruise home at your own pace. No parking garage, no parallel parking, no stress.
Route 30A (Santa Rosa Beach) — The iconic scenic highway connects Dune Allen Beach, Gulf Place, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, WaterColor, Seaside, Seagrove, Seacrest, Rosemary Beach, and Inlet Beach. Each little town has its own character — Seaside's town square, Grayton's laid-back surf vibe, Rosemary's architecture. A cart is the perfect speed to actually take it in rather than drive past it.
Crystal Beach & Holiday Isle (Destin) — The grid of residential streets makes quick runs to the beach, restaurants, and shops effortless. The area is flat, the roads are friendly, and you'll see more carts than cars on a Saturday morning.
Neighborhood Rides (Everywhere) — This is the everyday magic. Evening rides through your neighborhood with the family, the Bluetooth speakers playing whatever the kids picked this time. It sounds simple, and it is. That's what makes it so good.
Before booking a cart for a specific neighborhood or vacation rental, check our neighborhood-rules directory — some HOAs and resorts restrict golf carts on the property entirely.
What To Look For In A Used Golf Cart
When you're shopping for a used cart, the fun part is figuring out exactly what you want — the right size, the right features, the setup that fits your life on the Emerald Coast. Here's what to pay attention to.
Confirm The Title Type — ASPT Or Original-Brand
Ask whether the cart is ASPT-titled or original-brand-titled. Both are 100% street-legal, but the title type affects long-term resale value. ASPT carts often cost less upfront but typically resell for less; original-brand-titled carts hold value better but usually cost more. Beach Better discloses title type for every used cart in writing before purchase.
Verify Full Street-Legal LSV Equipment
A properly equipped LSV includes headlights, taillights, front and rear turn signals, side mirrors, a rearview mirror, seat belts for every passenger, a windshield, and a Florida license plate with VIN. These aren't optional extras — they're what makes the cart legal on roads like 30A and Scenic Gulf Drive. Every Beach Better used cart comes with all of this in place.
Match Seating To Your Real-World Use
Think about your typical ride. If it's usually you and a partner, a 4-seat cart is compact, easy to park, and gets the job done. If you have kids, guests, or plan to use the cart at a vacation rental, a 6-seat cart is almost always worth it. Families traveling together don't want to leave anyone behind, and rental guests specifically search for properties with larger carts.
Decide Between Gas And Electric
Gas carts offer longer range and refuel in minutes — ideal for heavy daily use, longer trips, or hilly terrain. Electric carts are quieter, lower maintenance, and better suited for shorter neighborhood runs and quiet communities. Both options appear in our used inventory at different price points. The right choice depends on your usage pattern more than anything else.
Look At The Battery Type (For Electric Carts)
Electric used carts come with either lead-acid or lithium battery packs. Lead-acid batteries typically last 3 to 5 years, charge slower, weigh more, and require regular water-level maintenance. Lithium batteries last 8 to 10+ years, charge faster, weigh less, and are essentially maintenance-free — but cost more upfront and on replacement. Know which type the cart has before you sign.
Consider Lifted Suspension And Tire Size
A lifted cart with larger tires handles Emerald Coast terrain with more confidence — speed bumps, uneven driveways, neighborhood roads with character. The lifted profile also gives the cart a more commanding look that guests and neighbors notice. Ask about tire size, suspension type, and lift height when comparing carts.
Ask About Sound, Lights & Comfort Features
Bluetooth sound systems, LED accent lighting, premium seats, and similar comfort features vary widely on used carts. Some have everything; others are stripped down. None of these features is required for street-legal status, but they significantly affect the daily-use experience and (for vacation rentals) the guest experience. Ask which specific features come on the cart you're interested in.
Buy From A Dealer With In-House Service
One of the biggest reasons to buy from Beach Better is that our relationship doesn't end at the sale. We provide full-service repairs, tune-ups, tire service, mobile mechanic visits, and same-day emergency service. The same team that prepares your cart for sale is the team you call when something needs attention later. Property managers get priority scheduling and fleet rates.

Buyers are encouraged to thoroughly inspect the cart and ask all questions before completing the purchase. ASPT-titled used carts started as standard golf carts and were legally converted to street-legal LSVs by Beach Better through the FLHSMV's established conversion process. Original-brand-titled used carts arrived from the manufacturer already built as street-legal LSVs (Club Car, EZGO, ICON, Bintelli, VCarts, etc.) and carry their original brand name on the title. Both are 100% street-legal; both pass all required Florida inspections. Title type is disclosed in writing before purchase.
Yes — every single one. All used golf carts Beach Better sells are registered Low Speed Vehicles with a current Florida license plate, VIN, title, and the required safety equipment (headlights, taillights, turn signals, mirrors, seat belts, windshield). They are legal to drive on any Florida road posted at 35 mph or less.
A standard golf cart is limited to under 20 mph and designed for golf courses or designated paths. A Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) travels 20 to 25 mph and is street-legal with a license plate, VIN, lights, signals, mirrors, and seat belts. In Florida, LSVs must be titled, registered, insured, and driven by a licensed driver. All Beach Better carts are LSVs.
Yes. Florida law requires every street-legal LSV to carry minimum insurance of $10,000 in Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and $10,000 in Property Damage Liability (PDL). You cannot register or legally drive an LSV without proof of insurance. Basic LSV insurance policies typically cost between $75 and $200 per year. Contact your auto insurance provider for an LSV-specific quote.
Yes. A used golf cart at a vacation rental property is a proven booking advantage on the Emerald Coast. Guests actively search for rentals that include a cart — especially families visiting Destin, Miramar Beach, 30A, and Santa Rosa Beach. A 6-seat cart gives a listing a competitive edge that can justify higher nightly rates. Used carts cost meaningfully less than new VCarts, and the optional EWG extended warranty protects against unexpected repair costs during the rental season.
For vacation rentals targeting families, a 6-seat cart is usually the stronger investment — guests specifically search for properties with larger carts. For personal use, couples, or smaller homes, a 4-seat is more compact, easier to park, and typically more affordable. Both sizes appear in Beach Better's used inventory at different price points.
Any Florida road with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less. Popular routes include Route 30A through Santa Rosa Beach, Scenic Gulf Drive through Miramar Beach and Destin, and neighborhood roads across the Emerald Coast. LSVs cannot be driven on sidewalks, the beach, unpaved trails, or Emerald Coast Parkway (Highway 98). HOA and resort restrictions vary by property — check the neighborhood-rules directory before buying.
