The Three Promises

What you actually get for $8 a day.

The whole point of Damage Forgiveness is to take the small stuff off the table — entirely. Up to $250 in any damage, collision or cosmetic, gets absorbed in-house with zero involvement from you after the trip ends. Three promises, every time.

Promise One

No claims to file

Sub-$250 damage is handled in-house. Nothing goes to an insurance company, nothing goes on a record, nothing follows you home. Beach Better absorbs it and moves on.

Promise Two

No stress at return

Bring the cart back at the end of the week without rehearsing what you'll say about the scuff. The Beach Better team checks the cart in, applies Damage Forgiveness to anything within the $250 envelope, and you're done.

Promise Three

No paperwork

For damage covered under Damage Forgiveness, there's no claim form, no signature, no follow-up email asking for receipts or photos. Hand the cart back. Walk away.

How It Works

Add it at booking. Forget it for the week.

Toggle it on

Damage Forgiveness appears as an add-on inside the Booqable reservation flow. Click to add — or text (850) 830-4699 if your reservation is already in.

Drive the week

Coverage is active for every day of the rental. No card to carry, no policy number to track, no claim hotline to memorize.

Return the cart

Hand it back at the end of the trip. If there's minor damage, Beach Better quietly absorbs it — no charge, no claim, no conversation needed.

That's the whole thing

No follow-up email. No deposit deduction. The reservation closes out clean, and your trip stays a vacation memory, not a billing memory.

Who Adds It

The renters who'd rather not think about it again.

Damage Forgiveness is the calmest $8 a vacation budget will ever spend. It's for the people whose last memory of the trip shouldn't be a $90 charge for a scuffed bumper or a cracked taillight cover.

It's the most-added option for first-time LSV renters, families with multiple drivers, anyone parking street-side along 30A or Scenic Gulf Drive, and renters who simply want one less variable on a trip that has plenty already.

  • First-time LSV rentersStreet-legal carts handle differently than the ones at the resort.
  • Families with multiple driversEvery additional driver is another set of mirrors to clip on a tight driveway.
  • Renters parking street-side30A, Scenic Gulf Drive, and Destin neighborhoods see real traffic — and real door dings.
  • People who hate billing surprises$8/day now is the price of never opening that follow-up email.
  • Renters who already added RCPDamage Forgiveness absorbs the first $250 of the $500 RCP deductible when both are active — see below.

What It Costs

Eight dollars a day. That's the whole pricing model.

Important · Read Before You Drive

Damage Forgiveness does not replace a police report. Florida law and the rental agreement still apply.

If the cart is involved in an accident — any accident, regardless of injury, regardless of fault, regardless of whether a second party is involved — Florida law requires that 911 be called and a police report be filed. The Beach Better rental agreement requires it as well. Damage Forgiveness does not change that rule, does not waive that rule, and does not substitute for that rule. Call 911 first. Every time.

If damage is under $250

Damage Forgiveness absorbs the repair in-house with no claim form and no paperwork. But if the cart was in an actual accident — even a minor one — a police report is still legally required and must still be filed. The internal absorption of the repair cost is a separate matter from the legal obligation to report the incident.

If damage exceeds $250

Damage Forgiveness covers the first $250. Anything above that is either the renter's personal responsibility or escalated to RCP if RCP is also on the reservation. Both paths require a police report to proceed. Without a report, RCP will not pay a claim and the renter will be personally responsible for the full repair cost above $250.

No police report means no proof of loss. No proof of loss means no insurance escalation is possible. The five minutes it takes to wait for an officer at the scene protects every dollar of coverage on the rental.

Stacking Bonus

Already adding Renter's Collision Protection? Damage Forgiveness absorbs $250 of the RCP deductible.

Damage Forgiveness stands on its own — most renters add it without RCP and never think about it again. But for renters who also add RCP, Damage Forgiveness has a second job: it absorbs the first $250 of the $500 RCP deductible. Stacked, the out-of-pocket on a covered RCP claim drops to $250 — half what it would be on RCP alone.

RCP is $39.50 per driver per day, underwritten by National Interstate Insurance Company. Read the full RCP details.

The Fine Print

What Damage Forgiveness is — and isn't.

Real protection comes with real terms. Here's exactly what the $8/day covers, what it doesn't, and how it interacts with the rest of the rental agreement.

$250 Ceiling

Damage Forgiveness absorbs up to $250 in any damage on the rental — collision, cosmetic, or otherwise. Damage above $250 is the renter's responsibility unless RCP is also active.

Per Rental, Not Per Driver

$8 per day applies to the reservation as a whole. It is not multiplied by the number of drivers listed on the agreement.

No Paperwork — Inside The Envelope

For damage within the $250 envelope, there is no claim form to complete and no insurance process to follow. The Beach Better team handles it internally at return.

Police Reports Always Required

Florida law and the rental agreement require a 911 call and police report for every accident — regardless of damage amount. Damage Forgiveness covers the repair, not the legal obligation. See the highlighted section above for the full rule.

Agreement Violations Void Coverage

Off-road driving, unauthorized drivers, intentional damage, or operation under the influence void Damage Forgiveness. The same exclusions that apply to RCP apply here.

Add Before The Agreement Is Signed

Damage Forgiveness must be on the reservation before the rental agreement is signed. It cannot be added retroactively once a return inspection has begun.

Frequently Asked

Everything renters ask about Damage Forgiveness.

What does Damage Forgiveness actually cover?

Up to $250 in any damage to the rental cart during the rental period — collision, cosmetic, or otherwise. That includes scuffs, scratches, small dings, cracked plastics, mirror damage, taillight cover damage, and minor body work. Inside that $250 envelope there is no claim form, no insurance process, and no surprise charge at return. Damage Forgiveness handles it in-house.

Do I need to buy RCP too?

No. Damage Forgiveness stands on its own and most renters add it without Renter's Collision Protection. The two products are independent — Damage Forgiveness covers the first $250 of any damage with zero paperwork. RCP is separate, licensed collision insurance that covers up to $20,000. Renters who add both get the deductible waived as a bonus, but Damage Forgiveness works fine on its own.

What's the difference between Damage Forgiveness and RCP?

Damage Forgiveness is a $8/day in-house benefit that absorbs up to $250 of any damage with no claim and no paperwork. RCP is a $39.50/driver/day licensed insurance product underwritten by National Interstate Insurance Company that covers up to $20,000 in collision damage and requires a claim filing with a $500 deductible. They cover different risk levels and most renters either pick one or stack both. More about RCP.

How much does it cost for a typical week?

$8 per day per reservation. A 3-day trip is $24, a 5-day trip is $40, a 7-day trip is $56, and a 10-day trip is $80. The price is flat — it doesn't go up with the number of drivers or the size of the cart.

When do I need to add it?

Before the rental agreement is signed. The simplest path is to toggle Damage Forgiveness on during the original Booqable reservation. If the reservation is already placed, text (850) 830-4699 and the rentals team will add it before the agreement goes out for signature. It cannot be added retroactively after a return inspection has begun.

What happens if damage exceeds $250?

Damage Forgiveness covers the first $250 in-house. Any repair value above $250 becomes the renter's responsibility — unless RCP is also active on the reservation, in which case RCP picks up the remainder up to $20,000 in collision damage. Renters concerned about anything beyond cosmetic and small-dent territory typically add both.

Will I get charged at return for sand, scuffs, or normal wear?

No — and that's true with or without Damage Forgiveness. Sand, dead bugs, normal scuffs, and other cosmetic wear from a week at the beach are never charged at return. Anything outside the signed delivery checklist cannot be added at pickup. Damage Forgiveness goes a layer further by absorbing actual damage up to $250.

Do I still need to call 911 if there's an accident?

Yes — and a police report is required, every time. Florida law and the Beach Better rental agreement both require a 911 call any time the cart is involved in an accident — regardless of injury, regardless of fault, regardless of whether another party is involved, and regardless of whether you have Damage Forgiveness.

If damage stays under $250, Damage Forgiveness still absorbs the repair internally — but the legal obligation to report the accident is separate from the financial absorption of the repair cost. If damage exceeds $250, a police report becomes the gating document for any RCP claim or other escalation path. Without it, RCP cannot pay and the renter is personally responsible for everything above the $250 Damage Forgiveness ceiling.

Call 911 first. Then text Beach Better at (850) 830-4699.

Can Damage Forgiveness be voided?

Yes. Coverage does not apply to damage caused by violating the rental agreement — including off-road driving, allowing an unauthorized driver to operate the cart, operating under the influence of alcohol or other substances, or intentional damage. The same exclusions that void RCP void Damage Forgiveness.

Is Damage Forgiveness charged per driver?

No. Damage Forgiveness is a flat $8 per day applied to the reservation. It is not multiplied by the number of drivers on the agreement. That's different from RCP, which is purchased per driver because each driver carries their own insurance policy.
