Personal auto insurance policies and credit card benefits frequently exclude golf carts and Low Speed Vehicles. Don't assume you're covered — verify directly with your insurer first, or just eliminate the uncertainty entirely with RCP.

Is RCP required to rent from Beach Better?
No. RCP is optional. Without it, the renter is personally responsible for 100% of any damage to the cart during the rental, regardless of fault. Beach Better strongly recommends RCP because LSV repair costs regularly run $2,000 to $15,000 or more.
When must RCP be purchased?

Does each driver need their own RCP?
Yes. RCP is non-transferable — every driver who wants coverage must purchase their own at $29.50 per day. If two drivers will operate the cart, both need separate policies. Coverage does not extend to drivers who are not on the rental agreement.
Will my personal auto insurance or credit card cover a rental golf cart?
Not always. Many personal auto policies and credit card rental benefits do not extend to Low Speed Vehicles or golf carts. Renters should check directly with their insurer before assuming coverage exists. RCP eliminates that uncertainty entirely.
What does RCP not cover?
RCP does not cover damage caused while violating the rental agreement, intentional damage, fraudulent claims, third-party vehicle or property damage, or bodily injury to any person. Coverage is collision-only and applies only to the rental cart itself.

$29.50 per driver per day. A 3-day rental is $88.50 per driver. A 5-day rental is $147.50 per driver. A 7-day rental is $206.50 per driver. Up to $20,000 in coverage applies for the entire rental period regardless of length.
What do I do if I'm in an accident with the rental cart?
Text Beach Better immediately at (850) 830-4699. Get a police report — required for all claims. Do not admit fault. Then call Corporate Claims Service at (267) 332-0814 ext. 119 or 115. Submit the claim form within 90 days of the loss to the address provided by Corporate Claims.
