Every Beach Better rental cart is a fully street-legal Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) driven on public roads — Scenic Gulf Drive, 30A, and local Destin and Miramar Beach streets — alongside cars, trucks, and bicycles. That's what makes rentals so much fun. It also means real road risk.

Without RCP, you are personally responsible for 100% of any damage to the cart, regardless of fault. A minor collision, a backing accident, or a tight-turn scrape can result in a repair bill that far outweighs the daily cost of coverage.

RCP is real collision coverage — not just a waiver — underwritten by National Interstate Insurance Company. For a 3-day rental, that's $88.50 per driver for up to $20,000 in protection.

  2. 02 Get a police report. Required for any claim. If police won't respond to private property, file at the nearest station.
  3. 03 Do not admit fault. Let the insurance process work. Admitting fault can complicate or void your claim.
  4. 04 Call Corporate Claims Service — (267) 332-0814, ext. 119 or 115. Have your rental agreement and police report number ready.

Is RCP required to rent from Beach Better?
No. RCP is optional. Without it, you are personally responsible for 100% of any damage to the cart during your rental, regardless of fault. Beach Better strongly recommends it.

Will my personal auto insurance or credit card cover a rental golf cart?
Not always. Many personal auto policies and credit card benefits do not extend to Low Speed Vehicles or golf carts. Check directly with your insurer before assuming you're covered. RCP eliminates that uncertainty entirely.
What does RCP not cover?
RCP does not cover damage caused while violating the rental agreement, intentional damage, fraudulent claims, third-party vehicle or property damage, or bodily injury to any person.
