It costs $39.50 per driver per day, covers up to $20,000 with a $500 deductible, and is underwritten by National Interstate Insurance Company — a real licensed insurance product, not just a damage waiver.

Is RCP required to rent from Beach Better?

No. RCP is optional. Without it, the renter is personally responsible for 100% of any damage to the cart during the rental, regardless of fault. Beach Better strongly recommends RCP because LSV repair costs regularly run $2,000 to $15,000 or more.

When must RCP be purchased?

Before the rental agreement is signed. RCP cannot be added after the rental begins or after the agreement is executed. Purchase online via e-sign at alwaysbeachbetter.com/rcp before the delivery appointment.

Does each driver need their own RCP?

Yes. RCP is non-transferable — every driver who wants coverage must purchase their own at $39.50 per day. If two drivers will operate the cart, both need separate policies. Coverage does not extend to drivers who are not on the rental agreement.

Will my personal auto insurance or credit card cover a rental golf cart?

Not always. Many personal auto policies and credit card rental benefits do not extend to Low Speed Vehicles or golf carts. Renters should check directly with their insurer before assuming coverage exists. RCP eliminates that uncertainty entirely.

What does RCP not cover?

24-hour day. RCP coverage runs in 24-hour periods starting from the date and time the policy is purchased — not midnight-to-midnight calendar days. Buy your RCP shortly before your rental begins so coverage tracks your actual use of the cart.

How much does RCP cost for a typical vacation rental?

$39.50 per driver per day. A 3-day rental is $118.50 per driver. A 5-day rental is $197.50 per driver. A 7-day rental is $276.50 per driver. Up to $20,000 in coverage applies for the entire rental period regardless of length.
