Common User Errors - THINGS TO CHECK
"Cart Won't Charge"
Important Charging Tips for Multiple Carts
If you've rented multiple carts, stagger their charging cycles. Each cart needs its own outlet to avoid tripping the breaker. Use different circuits for each cart whenever possible. If separate outlets aren't available, alternate charging times by charging one cart at a time.
Check the Cord Ends
If the ends of your extension cord are not lit up, the outlet might be faulty, or the GFI might be tripped. Check your breaker box and reset any tripped circuits.
"Cart Won't Turn On or Move"
Here are the most common reasons why a rental cart might not turn on or move.
1. Tow (Kill) Switch
Ensure the tow switch is flipped to the RUN position, not the TOW position. SEE PHOTOS BELOW
The run/tow switch (sometimes labeled On/Off) is located in one of two spots: front row passenger side near the glove box, or under the seat nearest to where the driver sits.
2. Ignition
Turn the ignition twice to the right.
If you only turn it once, the dashboard will light up, but the cart won't move.

📋 Troubleshooting Made Easy
See A Wrench With A Fault Code Number On Dashboard? The cart is very smart and will tell you if something is bugging it! Is there a number next to a wrench on your dashboard? This is called a fault code. Here are the most common culprits for causing renter confusion:
Fault Code 23: Cart was in Forward or Reverse when you put the key in the ignition
This will clear automatically in 30-90 seconds. No action is needed.
Fault Code 92: Battery is LOW—Cart urgently needs a charge
The cart is not being charged long enough. Plug it in immediately and leave it untouched until it's fully charged.
Fault Code 40: Parking brake is not all the way released
You've got to fully release the parking brake before the cart will move. Lift it back up and then hold the button while gently pressing the hand brake all the way down until it stops. Occasionally, a heavy rainstorm or bubble bath leading to water on the sensor will activate this fault. Wait 30-45 minutes until the sensor dries—it'll self-correct when dry.
Fault Code 68: Gear Fault was activated
The cart thinks it's in reverse and forward simultaneously. Put it in neutral, remove the key, and reset the Run/Tow switch. To reset, flip the kill switch off RUN over to TOW, wait 30 seconds, and flip the switch back to RUN position. Remove the key from the ignition and ensure the cart is in neutral (not Forward or Reverse) when you reset the tow switch.

✅ BEST PRACTICES
Charge every night Plug in your cart whenever you're back at the condo. Charge it overnight every night to ensure it's ready for the next day.
Dedicated outlet required To avoid tripping the breaker, your cart must charge on its own dedicated circuit/outlet with nothing else plugged into it. This is especially important if you're staying in a place built more than 5-10 years ago.
⚠️ WARNING: Battery depletion accelerates below 50% A cart depletes from 50% to 0% much faster than from 100% to 50%. If your cart is below 50%, don't leave until it has time to charge more. Never depart if you're not 50%+ charged. Always pack your charging cord on rides.
Always bring your charging cord Bring the charging cord with you in case you need to plug in for a while to make it the rest of the way home.
Multiple carts? Stagger charging times If you've rented multiple carts, stagger their charging times. Plugging two carts into the same outlet will trip the breaker, and neither cart will charge.
Verify charging status Check the ends of the extension cord to ensure they're lit up, indicating the cart is charging. If not, the outlet might be faulty, or the GFI might be tripped.
