Curbside pickup & self return

NB21L is always picked up and dropped off by you, curbside at Beach Better — no delivery, no waiting. Same spot both ways: 76 N Holiday Rd, Miramar Beach, FL 32550 (tap for directions).

Picking it up

  1. Review your email. It has everything to get rolling — lockbox location & access steps, your lockbox code, the cart user guide, and charging instructions. When the cart was ready we also texted the authorized driver(s), and that text carries the lockbox code too.
  2. Head to Beach Better. 76 N Holiday Rd, Miramar Beach, FL 32550.

Bringing it back

  1. Drive it back to the shop. Same address — 76 N Holiday Rd, Miramar Beach, FL 32550.
  2. Plug it in to charge. Park in the front lot and plug it in right there — there's an extension cord and charging station that make topping it off on return a breeze.
  3. Secure the key. Place the key in the lockbox and scramble the numbers.
  4. Send one text. Text (850) 830-4699 to let us know it's back. That's it.

Lockbox Codes

Lockbox codes are sent only to authorized, approved drivers. If you don't have a code, contact your group's primary driver.

Primary drivers: your code was texted and emailed when the rental began, plus emailed again the evening before. Check spam if you don't see it.

  1. Lift the middle row seat. Using the armrest, lift up the middle row seat. The lockbox is mounted underneath, near the battery.
  2. Enter the 4-digit code. Line up the digits, then slide the black button downward. The lockbox pops open and your key is inside.

Charging your cart

The charger is this cart's parking spot. Any time NB21L is back at Seascape and not being driven, it must be plugged in and charging — not parked in a regular space, not "just for a little while." Plugged in is the default, every single time.

  • Plug in the moment you stop driving. Night, midday, or after a five-minute hop — if the cart is parked at Seascape, it is charging. Don't wait for nighttime and don't count on remembering later. This one habit prevents nearly every dead-battery callout.
  • Charging cord rides with you. A flat battery far from Seascape means a tow back at your expense.
  • Look for the glow on the cord ends. Both should light up when plugged in. That's how you know it's actually charging.

The 50% Rule

Don't leave the cart at less than half a charge. Plan your drives so you're never caught short, and plug in the instant you're parked.

Important — Please Read

Don't let the cart run dead

If NB21L is run completely dead, a mobile technician must be deployed to reset the cart's software, and a tow charge applies to relocate the cart back to Seascape. This is billed to the driver and is not complimentary.

Keep the cart above half a charge and plug in every night to avoid this.

Reading the battery

Eco lithium battery. Check the round gauge above the dashboard for your current state of charge.

Night drive glow lights

Light up your evening drives with the party glow system. Power up the cart first (key in ignition until the dashboard lights up), then locate the small silver remote control attached by cord to your dashboard. Press the Power button to activate.

Remote control

Mode cycles through lighting effects: solid illumination, 7 running modes, pulse, scan, strobe, fade, S.O.S, music modes, and voice modes.

Color selects from red, hot pink, pink, purple, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, white, color cycle, and color fade.

Speed adjusts effect speed across 5 levels.

Lights won't turn on?

Check the blue-light switch — low on the dashboard, black switch with a blue indicator. Flip it to ON. If still nothing, verify the dashboard is lit (turn the ignition key). Don't adjust other toggle switches — they control power to the glow system.

Bluetooth speakers

Turn the key to 'on'. Open your phone's Bluetooth menu and select your cart's speaker. Once paired, you can play music directly from your phone.

Where you can drive

NB21L is a street-legal Low Speed Vehicle. Drive it on the public roads around Miramar Beach posted at 35 mph or less — Scenic Gulf Drive and the neighborhood streets near Seascape.

Off-limits: US-98 (Emerald Coast Parkway), the beach, sidewalks, and trails. The cart is not allowed on 98, so keep your drives on the local 35-mph roads.

  • Seatbelts on, every trip. One per person, no lap riding — including infants.
  • No phone in hand. Texting or handheld use while driving is a primary offense in Florida.
  • Licensed drivers only. Whoever drives must carry a valid driver's license.

About the AirTag

Your cart has an Apple AirTag installed which cannot be removed. This helps us locate and assist you faster if you need help. This cart's ID is NB21L — that number is also printed on the windshield. If your phone shows an AirTag alert, you can use it to confirm the tracker is ours, not someone else's.

If there's an accident

Call 911 immediately — this is required any time a golf cart is involved in an accident, regardless of whether anyone is injured and regardless of whether a second party is involved. Florida law requires the incident to be reported, and your rental agreement requires it as well. After calling 911, text Beach Better at (850) 830-4699 to report it. Do not move the cart until law enforcement instructs you to.

If something's off

Cart won't charge

If the cord ends aren't glowing, check the breaker — a tripped GFI is the usual culprit. Reset, replug, retry. If the breaker's fine but still nothing, unplug, count to 30, and plug back in.

Cart won't turn on or move

Check the tow switch — it must be on RUN, not TOW. Look near the battery compartment under the seat, or the front row passenger side near the glovebox. Then turn the key twice to the right: one turn lights the dashboard, two turns wakes the cart.

Traveling with a big group?

NB21L seats six. If you've got more people than seats, Beach Better has a full rental fleet — add a second cart for the week and keep everyone rolling together.
